CSV file is filled correctly but still getting upload errors?

This article helps understand and fix delimiter/separator errors when uploading from CSV files.

Depending on Excel's regional setting, your default delimiter/separator may be either commas (,) or semicolons (;) to separate items in a CSV file. As Wiserfunding uses commas (,) as default delimiters/separators, CSV files with semicolons (;) as delimiters/separators will give you upload issues (image above).

We recommend editing the file in Excel:

  • Download the Report CSV file to your desktop,

  • Open Blank Workbook in Excel, run import data for CSV files, Select the CSV to import,

  • Define the Delimiter as 'Comma' & click Load,

  • Update your data, save your file,

  • Finally, you can upload your data into the platform to view the updated report.
