This article outlines how to add more recent data [such as additional year(s)] to an existing risk assessment
If you have additional or more recent data that you would like to include in the Wiserfunding risk assessment you can simply add that data to the existing dataset and refresh the results. This can be applied to both current and previous risk assessments.
To add more data (or recent data) to a company risk assessment, all you need to do is:
- Run your 'Single Company' assessment
note: You can also open a previously run risk assessment via the 'Reports' panel or the 'Multiple Company' batch results
- Navigate to the 'Data Sources' section > 'Add More Data'
- Select 'Upload' under 'Upload more data'
- Download the 'Report CSV' at the top of the page and save it to your machine or network
(this exports the existing data in the risk assessment report)
- Open the 'Report CSV' file you just downloaded
- Add a new line to the bottom of the existing dataset incrementing the 'period' as relevant
(i.e. if the report contained data up to 2022, the additional row would have a period of 2023) -
Populate the fields for the new row you have created
(note: don't forget to populate all fields where known)The following are required fields and must be populated:
- currency, iso_code, details_name, details_industry_sector_code, details_website, details_nace_code
We suggest that you copy the required fields from the rows above your newly added row.
- Save the amended CSV file
- Go back to the platform and select 'Upload your CSV'
- Navigate to where your amended CSV file is located and select 'Open'
- The platform will check whether the CSV file is valid
(any issues will be displayed in the right of the upload manager)- If performing a stress test, set 'Stress Test' to 'Yes'
This will indicate that this report is a stress testing exercise to avoid confusion with a regular risk assessment.
- If performing a stress test, set 'Stress Test' to 'Yes'
- Select 'Generate new report'
The resulting risk assessment will include the new additional period and its corresponding data points and will be reflected in the risk metrics, financials and ratios.
The file will fail its validity check if one of these are missing.
- Company ID
- Company Name
- Creditors
- Currency (ISO 4217)
- Debtors
- Inventory
- ISO (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code)
- Loans
- Period (formatted as YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY)
- Total Assets (Required on API Only)
Inputting just these will be enough to generate benchmark scores.
To ensure that the data is mapped correctly to the model inputs, please consider the following document:

Depending on Excel's regional setting, your default delimiter/separator may be either commas (,) or semicolons (;) to separate items in a CSV file. As Wiserfunding uses commas (,) as default delimiters/separators, CSV files with semicolons (;) as delimiters/separators will give you upload issues.
In this case, please read this article.
