# How do I transform my data to upload into the platform?
## This article outlines how to turn your data into a CSV/Excel file that can be uploaded into the platform as a single company or multiple company batch run
Our platform accepts user data inputs in certain scenarios:
1\. [When you wish to run a fresh assessment without Wiserfunding data.](https://knowledge.wiserfunding.com/manually-input-my-own-data?hsLang=en)

4\. [Stress testing/sensitivity analysis.](https://knowledge.wiserfunding.com/how-do-i-stress-test-or-apply-sensitivity-analysis-to-company?hsLang=en)
In any of the above scenarios, while preparing for your risk assessment, you will need to enter your data into a CSV/Excel file to upload into Wiserfunding.
When your CSV export/upload template is downloaded, you can enter your data by adding a new line to the bottom of the each dataset, and entering data for the 'period' as relevant.
The *required* fields when uploading an MDI file into the platform:
The file will fail its validity check if one of these are missing.
1. Company ID
2. Company Name
3. Creditors
4. Currency (ISO 4217)
5. Debtors
6. Inventory
7. ISO (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code)
8. Loans
9. Period (formatted as YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY)
10. Total Assets (Required on API Only)
It's worth mentioning here - the more detailed the financial data included in the MDI file, the better the produced assessment will be.
Inputting *just* these will be enough to generate *benchmark scores*.
ESG Activities:
An entity's activity is identified by our models through analysis of the company’s website. Including a website in your MDI upload enables our models to analyse the company’s website and identify likely company activities.
NACE Codes:
Providing NACE codes helps analysts understand the sector in which a company operates. If multiple NACE codes are present in the input file, our models will use the code from the first row of financial periods when generating the report.
Please Note: To ensure details like websites and NACE codes are processed correctly, provide the same website URL and NACE code for every financial period included in your MDI upload.

Depending on Excel's regional setting, your default delimiter/separator may be either commas (,) or semicolons (;) to separate items in a CSV file. As Wiserfunding uses commas (,) as default delimiters/separators, CSV files with semicolons (;) as delimiters/separators will give you upload issues.
